We are delighted to welcome to our team, Dr Alexander Ioannidis, a talented and highly qualified Dental Surgeon, as our new Associate at the Practice.
Dr Alexander Ioannidis graduated from the University of Birmingham in 2016 with academic honours and Distinction in Clinical Dentistry. During his undergraduate studies he was awarded prizes in Restorative Dentistry and Oral Surgery. He went on to complete his foundation training in Central London in 2017. In 2018 he completed Dental Core training at Guy's hospital in Restorative Dentistry and Oral Surgery.
He has attended several private courses in aesthetic dentistry. He has also attended several International Conferences to update his knowledge on the latest innovations in Prosthodontics. He was awarded the Membership of the Royal College of Surgeons of England in November 2021.
In 2019 he embarked on the Specialist training programme in Prosthodontics at the Eastman Dental Institute, UCL. He is due to complete the Specialty in Prosthodontics in September 2024.
During this intensive course, he has gained experience in the management of complex cases including Full mouth Reconstruction.
Alexander focuses on all aspects of both removable and fixed prosthodontics as well as implant dentistry. His area of special interest is the conservative management of the worn dentition using composite resin materials as well as other tooth-coloured ceramic materials with the most up to date bonding techniques. He has a passion for aesthetic dentistry and smile transformations.
